'Tom is a brilliant fiddler & great singer; a wonderful ambassador of the James Hill musical tradition.' (Aly Bain). The results are timeless. He has played with Bob Fox, Kieran Halpin, his own band Dabhand, Alistair Anderson's Syncopace, Phil Cunningham, Barbara Dixon, Chris Newman & Pauline Cato. He's an inspiration for the new generation of musicians including Seth Lakeman & Kate Rusby. The workshop will focus on how to choose fiddle tunes & play them in a simple, lively & dynamic style, conscious control of the bow & violin, & the use of chords & embellishment. Some music will be sent out in advance.
