Niamh Parsons has one of the most distinctive & beautiful voices in Irish music, often compared to singers such as Dolores Keane, June Tabor & Sandy Denny. Headlining festivals, she has performed all round the world, including for President Clinton & Irish PM Bertie Ahern. Niamh is not only a great performer but a great tradition-bearer.
The workshop will focus on traditional Irish & English song in the English language, sourcing songs, choosing songs to suit the singer. Some breathing exercises will be taught, along with finding the easiest key for the singer.
