From Australia, Nicole Murray, John Thompson & Emma Nixon offer hot harmonies with spellbindingly precise delivery. They add humour, vitality & excitement to traditional & modern Australian, English & Celtic songs & tunes. Guitar, flute, fiddle, whistle & concertina enrich the mixture. John is also a member of The Spooky Men's Chorale & has an excellent blog, An Australian Folk Song A Day (http://ozfolksongaday.blogspot.com/).

Nicole, John & Emma present a fabulous day of skill development. We'll help you explore & develop your voice, learn some of the ways to bring your own style to your favourite song & then discover how to take it to the stage. We'll play with harmonies & 'fill our tool-boxes' with some of the ways each of us can bring our own voice to the music that is special for us. Cloudstreet offer an integrated day of singing skills, performance and stagecraft skills, and arranging skills. Depending on who attends, 'Arranging' will probably involve rhythms, chord choices, creating texture and expression; 'Singing' will combine practical warmups, vocal care, techniques to help you sing the way you want to, and three ways to approach harmony; 'Performance and Stagecraft' will include developing your stage persona, dealing with nerves, preparing your act for the stage and honing your introductions. For all skill levels (music reading not necessary).
