Con is a fine singer in English & Irish Gaelic. Steeped in traditional Irish music & singing, he writes inventive, elaborate, witty songs such as The Milltown Cockroach, Ben Hur, King Lear, A Hymn to St. Finbarr & The Spoons Murder (the title of his published book of songs). He also plays accordion with the Four Star Trio of Cork.
The workshop will cover the art & craft of songwriting in traditional style, with examples from Con's own writing & that of other great Irish songwriters. You're invited to bring a song of your own to sing & discuss with the group. Please send the words in advance (not necessarily with your booking).
