The Four Star Trio from Cork play the glorious, exuberant music of Sliabh Luachra - slides, polkas, jigs, reels & airs. Con Fada Ó Drisceoil (accordion, voice) Johnny McCarthy (fiddle, flute, whistle) & Pat 'Herring' Ahern (guitar, bouzouki) are admired in Ireland & beyond for their uplifting style & fresh & varied instrumentals, for Con's witty & ingenious songwriting, & for his singing in English & Irish. They are great favourites at Whitby Folk Week.
The workshop is for any instrument & will cover the range of characteristic dance music of Sliabh Luachra. Some music will be sent in advance.
