Martin & Shan sing mainly English traditional songs from the West Country in beautiful, sensitive two-part harmony. Martin also writes fine songs in traditional style. They are have a deep love of the songs collected by Baring-Gould as performers & scholars, transcribing & writing about his manuscripts. As a speech & language therapist Shan has professional experience of teaching people how to use & look after their voices.
The workshop will cover approaches to singing traditional songs in two-part harmony, using examples from England and America. It will also focus on looking after your voice and keeping it working well. Music will be available but teaching will be by ear.
