Hannah James sings, clog dances & plays accordion in a duo with Sam Sweeney & is a founder member of the band Kerfuffle. She's in Lady Maisery, the vocal harmony & instrumental trio with Hazel Askew) & Rowan Rheingans (Fidola)..
Hannah is a fine, inspiring teacher of clog dancing. The morning workshop is for beginners (clogs can be provided) & the afternoon for the more experienced. Hannah has a particular interest in using clog as a percussive instrument.
She'll cover improvisation & creating new steps in the advanced workshop & set some of the foundations for this in her beginner classes.

| 11.00-13.00 | A workshop for beginners covering basic steps & a short routine as well as some rhythm exercises. Clogs can be provided if you let us know your size in advance. Come & have a go! |
| 13.00 | Lunch There is no food at the venue, but there are several eateries and pubs along the High Street or the Elephant and Castle, where Sam Sweeney's fiddle workshop is taking place, is less than ten minutes walk away. Map |

| 14.15-16.45 | Intermediate/advanced workshop. This is for anyone who already has a couple of routines under their belt right up to advanced cloggers. The focus is on improvising & creating new routines. Hannah has developed a system for giving people the confidence to improvise & choreograph with the steps that they already know. Hopefully by the end of the workshop everyone will have written a new step & been inspired to improvise & use their foot percussion as a musical accompaniment. |
